COP/UGC STAFF - DR. BILLEAUX
The day of the show I woke early, too early, in anxious anticipation for the evening to come. I knew what I had to do...I think. Let's see, left foot, then right, raise arms and jazz hands. Yes, I was confident of my preparation. But would everyone else be as prepared? The answer was a firm and super confident “yes!" As soon as each cast member shouted their first line from the audience and made their way onto the stage, the energy in the house became almost ecstatic. We listened and watched a small monitor backstage, minds being blown with every perfect dance and song. The relationships between the cast on and off stage were instantaneously cohesive and bonded in a fraternal, “we got this!” way. And as soon as the last bow was complete, I said to myself, “I want to do this again!”
