Saren Nofs Snyder is an actor, director, and dialect coach who recently returned to Portland after a fifteen year layover in Chicago, and is thrilled to be joining Anonymous Theatre for this high stakes game night! Saren was most recently seen as the title character in Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol at American Stage Theatre in St. Petersburg, FL. Portland audiences may remember her as Lady Caroline Bramble in Enchanted April at Artists' Repertory Theatre, as Lady Macbeth in Macbeth at Quintessence Theatre, as Barbara in Sympathetic Magic at Profiles, or in her Drammy Award Winning role of May in Once in a Lifetime at Lakewood Theatre. Regionally, Saren has appeared all across the country, as well as at the Festival of Theatre in English in Gdansk, Poland. Some favorite productions include Titania/Hippolyta in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Roxanne in Cyrano DeBergerac (Door Shakespeare-WI), Regan in King Lear, Lady Percy/Doll Tearsheet in Henry IV, part two, Celia in As You Like It, and Myrtle Mae in Harvey (Utah Shakespeare Festival), Masha in Three Sisters (Piven Theatre), Lady Croom in Arcadia (New Leaf), Queen Elizabeth in Richard III (Notre Dame Shakespeare), and Regina Giddins in Little Foxes (Citadel Theatre). Saren earned an MFA in Acting and Directing from the University of Missouri, Kansas City (UMKC), and is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association, the union of stage actors and stage managers.
